What is the Hollywood Pledge?
The Hollywood Pledge brings together some of the biggest names in music, sports, fashion and entertainment to "pledge" their commitment to philanthropy. The website was developed in consultation with Hollywood's top agents, managers and publicists. Each celebrity profile has been created with information obtained either from the celebrity directly or his or her representative. Listed next to each celebrity is a logo and link to his or her favorite charity/charities.
What is the goal of the Hollywood Pledge?
To highlight Hollywood's charitable celebrities and encourage them to actively engage their fans to get involved, whether through donations, fundraising or volunteering.
Who can take the Hollywood Pledge?
At this time, only celebrities are able to take the Hollywood Pledge. However, all individuals are encouraged to visit the celebrity pledge pages and support their favorite celebrity's charity/charities. There are logos next to each celebrity that will take you directly to the charities they support where you can volunteer or donate to those charities.
What are the celebrities Pledging?
The celebrities are pledging to use their celebrity status and "star power" to bring attention to charities in need. The Hollywood Pledge doesn't dictate the method by which a celebrity "gives back" - we leave that up to the individual celebrity. Our hope is that each celebrity taking the Pledge will make a concerted effort to support a charity by serving as a spokesperson, hosting a fundraiser or other activity such as visiting a hospital, participating in an afterschool program, etc.
What happens after a celebrity takes the Hollywood Pledge?
After a celebrity takes the Hollywood Pledge, they are encouraged to interact with fans in efforts to raise awareness for their respective charities. Look for your Pledge favorites Tweeting about their causes and actively participating in giving back via fan interaction.

Who founded the Hollywood Pledge and why?
The Hollywood Pledge, launched in partnership with ABC, The Hollywood Reporter and the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, was created by the Give Back Hollywood Foundation to showcase the charitable causes of celebrities and to solicit fan support for those causes. Other partners include JetBlue, Fashion Forms and Glam Rock Watches.
Is the Hollywood Pledge affiliated with the Giving Pledge?
No, the Hollywood Pledge is not affiliated with the Giving Pledge that was launched in 2010 by Warren Buffett and Bill & Melinda Gates. However, the Hollywood Pledge was inspired by the Giving Pledge and we hope that our actions will inspire further acts of giving.
Is the Hollywood Pledge a non-profit?
Yes, the Hollywood Pledge is a special project of the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help celebrities "give back" and raise money & awareness for other non-profits.
How are 'Featured Charities' selected?
The Featured Charities are those charities that the Pledge sponsors support and have chosen to highlight for the Launch.
How do I get involved with the Hollywood Pledge?
You don't have to be a celebrity to get involved. Scroll through our Pledges until you find your favorite celebrity, see who they support via their charity links and when you find a cause that touches you, donate time, money or start your own fundraiser for your chosen celebrity's cause. Share with your friends on Facebook or Twitter and join the largest philanthropic movement in Hollywood history.
What is a Pledge Ambassador?
A Pledge Ambassador is a celebrity who strongly believes in our mission and has agreed to serve as a spokesperson or representative of the Hollywood Pledge.
Does the Hollywood Pledge raise money for charity?
Yes but not directly. We do not accept donations on our website. Fans are encouraged to donate directly to the charities listed on the Pledge website by clicking on the logos/links.
What is the relationship with Glam Rock Watches?
Glam Rock Watches is a sponsor for the Hollywood Pledge and has generously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of a Glam Rock Watch from the Pledge website to help fund the Pledge.
